Where Light
Goes to
Die.
Zarfcove builds games that explore the deepest trenches of the ocean — and the human psyche. We craft experiences of isolation, wonder, and creeping dread in the pressurized dark.
Abyssal Titles
Each game descends deeper. Each environment more hostile. Each discovery more unsettling.
Benthic Signal
You are the lone operator of a deep-sea listening post. Something is broadcasting on frequencies that shouldn't exist. Something is learning your language.
Hadal Drift
Your submersible is drifting. The lights are failing. The hull is groaning. And something large is circling just outside the floodlights.
The Trench
A narrative exploration game set in the Mariana Trench. The deeper you go, the less the environment makes sense. The rules of physics don't apply here.
Abyssgrave
You wake in a crashed research vessel at the bottom of the ocean. The crew is gone. The hatches are sealed from the outside. Something is tapping on the hull.
Challenger Deep
The deepest point on Earth. No light. No sound. No hope of rescue. What you find here will change how you see the ocean — and yourself.
Project: Leviathan
Our most ambitious title. Based on declassified naval encounters with unidentified deep-sea anomalies. The ocean is hiding something. We're going to find it.
Specimen Catalog
Creatures discovered during our deep-sea expeditions. Some are real. Some are not. We're not sure which is worse.
Vampyroteuthis
Vampire squid. Harmless, but unsettling. Glows with an eerie blue light.
Anglerfish
Deep-sea predator. Lures prey with a glowing esca. Avoid at all costs.
Gulper Eel
Massive jaws. Can swallow prey larger than itself. Rarely seen alive.
Dumbo Octopus
Floppy ears. Adorable. Deceptive. Has been known to mimic human voices.
Fangtooth
Tiny but terrifying. Teeth too large for its mouth. Bites through steel.
Unknown Specimen
No official classification. Observed only on sonar. Approaches from below. Do not illuminate.
Dive Log
A record of our expeditions. Some ended well. Others... we don't discuss.
Surface Operations Begin
Zarfcove founded by three marine biologists turned game developers. First expedition: a shallow reef off the coast of Monterey. We were hooked.
Benthic Signal Release
Our debut title. Players reported "deep-sea hallucinations" and "pressure anxiety." One player called it "the most terrifying game ever made." We took it as a compliment.
Hadal Drift Incident
During a research dive, our ROV lost contact for 47 minutes. When it resurfaced, the footage was... wrong. We built a game around it. So can you.
The Trench Expedition
First manned descent to the trench floor. The team reported "structures" on the seafloor. Geometric. Deliberate. Not natural. The game followed six months later.
Abyssgrave Discovery
A crashed vessel. Not ours. Not anyone's. The logbooks inside were written in a language that doesn't exist. We're still translating.
Challenger Deep: Operation Leviathan
Our most ambitious project yet. A joint venture with oceanographic institutes worldwide. What we find down there, we will share with the world. Eventually.
